Editorial Policy

This page explains the editorial responsibility behind TmpKit's public articles, tool explanations, and product claims.

Responsibility and scope

Independent operator Jesse is the accountable editor for bylined material. This policy covers the blog, About pages, tool methodology, FAQ, and public help copy. It does not cover private messages sent by outside senders to temporary inboxes. Those messages are never treated as publisher content and never carry ads.

Topic and value standards

• An article must answer a defined user problem, not merely target a keyword.
• Priority goes to work TmpKit can support with running code, operational experience, repeatable tests, or tool output.
• Overlapping topics are consolidated, cross-referenced, or clearly differentiated instead of being published as near-duplicate pages.
• We do not publish placeholders, scraped rewrites, summary-only pages, or bulk articles simply to increase page count.

Sources, testing, and fact-checking

Technical claims prefer RFCs, standards bodies, official Google policy, upstream open-source repositories, and vendor documentation. Tool output must state its query type, snapshot, timeout, known error modes, and why “not found” is not proof of absence. Comparisons distinguish verifiable facts, observed tests, and editorial judgment. Any commercial relationship is disclosed on the relevant page.

Software assistance and translation

Spelling tools, code tools, automated analysis, machine translation, or generative systems may assist research, drafts, and bilingual consistency. Unreviewed automated output is not published as finished work. Jesse checks sources, adjusts conclusions, removes unsupported promises, and approves the final version. Tools are not credited as authors.

Dates, updates, and corrections

A publication date is when material first became public. An updated date changes only after a material change to facts, advice, tests, or structure—not to manufacture freshness. Security, privacy, and policy errors receive priority, with an update note where readers need the history.

Send the URL, disputed text, and a verifiable source to [email protected]. We distinguish factual errors from reasonable disagreement and personal preference, and correct errors that can be substantiated.

Advertising independence

Advertising is disabled during AdSense review. If approved, clearly labeled manual units are allowed only after the body of edited articles. The homepage inbox, message viewer, tools, and research pages remain ad-free. Ads cannot imitate navigation, downloads, tool output, or editorial recommendations. Advertisers cannot pre-approve, change, or buy conclusions, and TmpKit never asks readers to click ads.
